The American Friends of Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam will be co-hosting a tour to Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam from October 10th – 14th, 2010, organized by the British Friends of Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam.

This visit to the Oasis of Peace will give you a chance to learn more about the residents and the programs. The tour will include meetings with experts and residents, and visits of various sites as follows in this preliminary program:

Sunday 10th October
Arrival in Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam

Monday 11th October
Detailed tour of the community of NSWAS including the School for Peace, Primary School and The Pluralistic Spiritual Center
Afternoon visit to explore Tel Aviv and visit a museum
Dinner at the Residence of the British Ambassador to Israel, His Excellency Tom Phillips

Tuesday 12th October
Full day visit to Jerusalem including:
Guided tour of the holy sights of the Old City
Meeting with Rabbis for Human Rights, an organization which has a Jewish and Zionist tradition of concern for Human Rights

Wednesday 13th October
Participatory workshop at the School for Peace
Relaxation at the Village to include swimming, if possible
Opportunity to meet the residents of the community of NSWAS in their homes

Thursday 14th October
Farewell from NSWAS

Participants will be responsible for their own airfare and accommodations at the Guest House. Program costs are of approximately $600, which includes all meals, excursions, and entrance fees.
