Help Us Support the Final 6 Incoming Students
This fall, eight incoming 6th graders—Jewish and Palestinian, boys and girls—are preparing to continue their education together at the Primary School in Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam.
But not all of them can afford to attend.
Thanks to early support, we’ve already raised funds for 2 students, 1 boy & 1 girl.
We need your help to support the remaining 6.
Your Gift Will Help Us Provide:
Year-long inclusive enrichment through musical and visual arts
Tuition assistance
Classroom resources to help them thrive
Bus transportation for students living outside the Village
Full Scholarship for 8 children - 4 girls and 4 boys - $2,000 each for a total budget of $16,000
Every child deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported as they close this important chapter in their lives.
Watch this short video update from Samah Salaime and Principal Neama Abo Dalu to reconnect with the heart of our school and witness the resilience of our students:
These children are growing up in one of the only places where peace is practiced, not just preached.
Your support helps ensure they don’t miss their chance.
Give now—help us welcome all 8.
Help Us Give the Upcoming 6th Grade a Sturdy, Resilient Start
From Air-Raid Sirens to Popsicles — Our Students Long for a Year of Healing and Hope
In June, our Primary School students experienced a difficult end to their school year. For two weeks, they were required to stay home while the missile alerts sounded daily. And when it was finally declared safe to return, our staff made one thing clear: fear would not have the last word.
We welcomed the children back with a day of healing—filled with art, expression, laughter, and yes, popsicles. Students shared their feelings, received certificates of courage, and ended their year not in fear—but in unity.
Now, as we are preparing for the incoming 6th-grade class, we’re asking you, our community, to help give these students the steady, supportive start they hope for.
Every gift—large or small—makes a meaningful difference in the life of a child stepping forward after a year of uncertainty.
Thank you for standing with our students, their teachers, and their futures.

From Fire and War to Laughter and Song — The 40th Graduating Class Leaves Their Mark
Though the end-of-year celebrations were delayed by the war, they were not dimmed by it. Earlier this July, our resilient and radiant 6th-grade students—our 40th graduating class—finally got the celebration they so deeply deserved.
With care, creativity, and courage, the students took charge of the planning and performances, culminating in an unforgettable evening full of music, laughter, emotion, and pride. Their final skit—touching on the events of the past six years, from COVID to conflict—reminded us of just how much they’ve lived through, and how powerfully they’ve grown.
As Principal Neama Abu Delu shared:
“The party was full of joy, excitement, pride and lots of love. The students have said goodbye to a significant chapter, leaving a special mark on all of our hearts.”
The ceremony included moving words from teachers, families, and even Shimon Betat, director of the Mateh Yehudah Local Council, who addressed the students in Arabic and declared:
“WASNS School is the best thing in the region.”
Now, it’s time to look ahead—and make sure the next class feels just as celebrated.
Help us give the rising 6th grade class the tools, experiences, and memories they deserve. From classroom enrichment and musical performances to meaningful end-of-year events, your support makes it possible.
